London — a familiar bit of British English in the wild

Enjoy Learning English

A calm space to get ready for the PAU English paper: the Selectividad and EBAU test set by the Junta de Andalucía. The tasks follow the same three sections as the official exam, so you can build habits instead of hunting for one-off exercises elsewhere.

You can open real past-session content from the list below, add extra items (randomised prompts, more readings) when you want variety, and use the built-in checks and notes to see where you stand.

Language throughout is British English — clear layouts, no fuss, and tasks you can finish in a free period or a longer revision block.

  • Section A Reading · comprehension on authentic-style texts (about 350–500 words)
  • Section B Use of English — rephrasing, gaps, and the kinds of item you will see in the live paper
  • Section C Writing — 140–180 words, with topics and support aligned to exam expectations
Official guidance (English · 2025–2026)

Structure

There are three sections: A reading comprehension, B Use of English, C writing. In B and C you must choose only one of the two options wherever two are offered.

Section A · Reading

  • Passage: 350–500 words, general English, authentic sources (may be adapted).
  • Maximum mark typically 4; each question is usually worth 0.5.
  • Common task types: multiple choice (you write A–D on paper); true/false with justification in the exact words of the passage (this site asks for the quote in double quotes, optional (lines …) in English, like many official keys); “find in the text” (single word or phrase from the passage).

Section B · Use of English

  • Maximum mark typically 3 (0.5 per item in the specimen paper).
  • Rewrite without changing the meaning; your sentence must show a different structure.
  • Use the given starter or the word in brackets; do not change the words you are given.

Section C · Writing

  • One composition on one only of the two topics. Length: 140–180 words in current Junta models; at least 120 in some 2024–2025 papers — check your exam paper.
  • Content and language are assessed; if you are off-topic, you may be awarded 0.
  • Word-count issues are penalised according to the official mark scheme.

How this site relates to the exam

  • Reading: Papers A/B are labelled with their session (e.g. Access 2024–2025). Passages marked Practice are original training texts, not official exam papers, but follow the usual length and task types.
  • Use of English: The specimen-style blocks match the official rewrite format; labels show which Access session they belong to. They are not a complete archive of every past paper.
  • Writing: Word limits and rubric summary follow 2025–2026 examiner guidelines. Automated feedback is a study aid only — it is not an official mark.
  • Rephrasing: Extra practice inside Use of English; reformulation in the real exam is part of Section B, not a separate paper.

General rules

  • Time guide: 1 h 30 min; no dictionary.
  • Answer only what each section asks; if you give more than one answer in an item, usually only the first is marked.
  • The paper is set in English (except administrative headings).

Official PDFs (Junta de Andalucía)

This page is an interactive study tool. It is not a full copy of every official page. The Junta publishes the full exam PDFs (Titular / Suplente, Access / Admission, options A and B) plus separate correction keys (marking guides). Use those PDFs for the complete wording, layout, and rubrics.

Exam papers + correction keys (PDF)

Junta English papers (2024–2025) + correction keys. Writing length: many PDFs say 120+ words; guidance often uses 140–180 — follow your teacher or the latest PDF.

Extra rephrasing practice

Reformulation items belong in Section B (Use of English) on the exam. These exercises are extra practice — they do not reproduce an official paper.
